Fwd: Prayers for Anne Marie Paloucek

Call to Prayers:

I received this request from one of our New Knights. He sent it 12 days ago and I apologize to him for the delay in responding due to being out of town. However; I know that prayers for the repose of the soul of Anne Maire and for her family are still needed. It is extremely hard for a family to lose a loved one, more so during the holiday season, So please take a moment and say a prayer for this family that the Good Lord welcomes Anne Marie home and brings peace and consolation to her husband and children.
Thank you Brothers,
Joe Geraci, GK

Dear Joe,
I am a new Knight and still relatively new to Rock Hill.  Last evening my brothers best friend lost his wife to cancer. They are an exemplary Catholic family living in Wisconsin, and she leaves behind six children ranging in age from 15 to 5 years old. Her name is Anne Marie Paloucek.  I am asking for an urgent prayer request for this family in their critical time of need. May Jesus, Mary, and Joseph hold them firmly in their hands and guide them through this time of immense sorrow. Thank you ever so much.

With a sad heart

It is with a very saddened heart to inform you all that Brother Eli Furo went home to the Lord last night. I just learned of this and have no further details at this time.

Brother Eli served our Council in so many ways they for so many years. Until very recently he would be a regular on our weekly bread runs, and he assisted Mike Radl in the aluminum can recycling. I will forever miss his smile, he was always so happy to see you.

Our deepest condolences to his family and especially to his wife Charlotte. May the Good Lord watch over them ease their pain and guide them through difficult this ordeal.

Dennis has been moved to Westminister Rehab Facilitiy but I do not have a room numberas of this writing.
Thank you Lord.

Tomorrow evening beginning at 7PM we will be holding a First and Second Degreein the St John Center I am encouraging you all to attend. This would be a great time to meet and welcome the many new brothers sho have joined our ranks in the last 4 months.

Mark your calendars the monthly council meeting has been moved from Monday November 9th to Tuesday November 10th.
WE NEED YOUR HELP BROTHERS:   On Saturday November 7th at 7PM in the Pope John Center we will be hosting a dinner for the prospective members and our new members plus their spouses and guest. The council will supply the entre but we need for the you to furnish a side dish, salad, or desert. Brother Joe Berger is heading up this event please RSVP (803) 487-9191 if you are attending and what you are bringing. The RSVP is very important so we will know how much food to order. Your help is also needed with the setup. St. John's will be in use until 5PM we will have a tight window to set up and be ready by 7PM again please notify Brother Joe if you can assist. The church portion of our recruitment drive was a success now we need to follow through and have a successful dinner event.
Tonight there will be a meeting of the Xmas social committee at 7:30 at the school in the conference room by the cafeteria. I keep hearing we need more socials now is your opportunity to get involved a committee of  only 6 to 8 people is not enough to plan and excute this event.

I need your Help

As you know the past few months the council has been selling the attractions and dining guide to raise money for the Church. The campaign ends Oct 31st, and we are 22 books short of our goal. This is why I need your help. Current sales are at 178. We need to have 200 or more in sales. The difference in the commission we earn from selling 199 to 200 is almost $800.00. This is why it is imparitive we cross the 200 book threshold.

I am asking all Brother Knights to make one last push to either purchase  a book or sell one. We are so close let us not fail. Just think of the sense of pride you will have every time you receive communion at mass knowing you helped to to secure those Sacred Vessels for St. Anne's

LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN BROTHERS.

Thank you all,
Joe Geraci

Church Recruitment Drive

This weekend before and after each mass the Knights will be selling the attractions and Dining guides for the last time the program is winding down and we have not met our goal as of this writing but with a strong showing this weekend we can do it.

Plus we are conducting our Church Recruitment Drive.Brother Joe Berger our Membership Director has lined up 2 Knights for each mass.If you can give a few minutes either before or after the mass you attend it would help our council tremendously the better the turn out the more successful our drive will be.This is a great opportunity to show our two Principals of Unity and Fraternity  If you cannot assist please at least wear your red council shirts and your name badges.

Remember getting a new Knight is as easy as asking the guy seating next to you at mass "Have you ever thought about becoming a Knight".

The state council is currently various recruitment incentives to both the councils and the proposers. If our council meets its quota of 13 new members by January 1st. we will be entered in a drawing for a 50 inch TV or $500.00.

Currently our council has 9 plus one waiting to make his first degree surely you can see how close we are to achieving this goal. Currently only 2 other councils have met their recruitment goals why not help to making us the third.

Thank you all for your support.

Attraction Dining and Value Guides

Gentleman,

We are approaching the 1/2 way point of our fund raising campaign for St. Anne's. It was Father Fabio request that the Knights do what we can to replace the Sacred Vessels used during the mass. I don't know about you but I would not like to fail Father by not making his request a reality. Father Fabio is a tremendous supporter of the Knights let's not fail him. The guides are a fantastic value at just $25.00 dine out twice you have your money back with 16 more months of coupons and savings to use.

They make great gifts for children, grandkids, coworkers, employees, and neighbors.

Come on my Brothers let us get this accomplished we all know we can do this.

This weekend we will be in the Gathering space and could use your help. Remember the Knight who sell the most receives ac $50.00 VISA Gift Card.

FYI currently we are at 14% of our goal. As you can see in order for us to be successful we all need to take an active role and be unified in this important endeavor, we both know this can be done and we have the power to do it.

Urgent Support Needed for Pro-Life Bills in Congress

Dear Brother Knights,

Congress is set to vote in the coming days on three important pro-life measures. In the House, the Defund Planned Parenthood Act (H.R. 3134) would put a one-year moratorium on funding for the organization unless it agrees to abandon its abortion practice. Also in the House, the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (H.R. 3504) provides federal criminal and civil penalties for failing to provide care to an infant who has survived an abortion attempt. Next week, the Senate is expected to take up the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (S. 1553), which bans abortions after 20 weeks of gestation, the point at which experts agree that the unborn feel pain. Please contact your elected representatives in support of these measures.

Click here to take action on the Defund Planned Parenthood Act (H.R. 3134)

Click here to take action on the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (H.R. 3504)

Click here to take action on the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (S. 1553)

At the heart of these three pieces of legislation is recognition of the dignity of the unborn child. In the past several weeks, through the release of several undercover videos, the United States has received a distinct call to reexamine its conscience regarding abortion, which claims the lives of over a million unborn children every year in this country.
As you may know, most of the videos show or explain some aspect of the harvesting of organs for monetary compensation, including the grisly details of how these organs are extracted from recently aborted babies, many of them late-term.

Congress has held two hearings, one in the House Judiciary Committee, and one in the Energy and Commerce Committee, investigating the practices of Planned Parenthood and shining a light on this disregard for human life.

I was moved recently to see this video interview of Utah Congresswoman Mia Love discussing the Planned Parenthood videos: "Here we are in the United States of America, and our job is to protect life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness—first and foremost life," she said.

There simply is no good reason for taxpayers to fund Planned Parenthood or any organization that performs abortions.

Thank you for all you do in support of the dignity of human life.

Vivat Jesus!
