Call for Prayers

My Brother Knights your prayers are needed for Brother Jerry Ball I just learned from his wife Thelma that Jerry suffered a stroke last night and is in Piedmont Hospital. It is my understanding he is paralyzed on the his left side but doing well. Thelma also advised us that he can receive visitors.

Council meeting

This is just a reminder that we will have our monthly council meeting this Monay October 12th at 7PM in the St. John Center at the Oratory. Thank you and I look forwrd to seeing you there.

Monthly Breakfast / Lunch

The Knights will be hosting our monthly Breakfast / Lunch this Sunday Oct. 11th from 7:30 to 12 noon. Lunch will start after the Hispanic Mass. Several of us will be out of town or unable to attend and we can use your help to pick up the slack.The proceeds to benefit the Boys and Girl Scout Troops of St. Anne's Parish.

The following is a portion of an email I rececieved from our State Deputy is morning conserning the status of each council and all members in the State. To the best of my knowledge our members and council faired ok with the storm. If you or you know of a member who suffered damage as a result of the storm please notify me ASAP so I may pass it up the chain and get them so assistance.

Worthy Brothers all, 
At about 8:30am Dan Schramn and myself will be talking to the Supreme Office
concerning conditions coming about from the sever flooding going on in the
State. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME THIS EVENING AND CALL EACH OF YOUR GRAND KNIGHTS
AND ASK OF CONDITION IN THEIR AREAS. SUPREME IS OFFERING SUPPORT AND
FINANCING TO THOSE THAT ARE SUFFERING FROM THE STORM AND FLOODING. I NEED
TO HEAR FROM EACH OF YOU BY 8:00am MONDAY. I WILL NEED TO HEAR FROM 63
COUNCIL THROUGH YOU. I NEED TO HEAR YOUR COUNCILS ARE OKAY BY NUMBERS OR BY
COUNCIL NUMBER IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE. 
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS CAN BE YOUR CHURCH OR ITS BUILDING, A KNIGHT'S HOME
OR HIS FAMILIES HOME. LOSE OF WORK PLACE, LOSE OF VEHICLE ETC.
I CAN ONLY REPORT TO SUPREME WHAT YOU REPORT TO ME. PLEASE DON 'T LET

First Degree

My Brother Knights tomorrow evening at 7PM we are having a First Degree Cerimony at the St. John Center. We have 5 applicants requesting entrance into our order. I am encouraging you to attend and show your support for our new Brothers. Dress is coat and tie or business casual.
